One Color at A Time: Harper

Hello Citizens of the Blogosphere,

I come to you today with a short post about how this piece came to be.

The original image should have been centered like the one pictured below, but for some reason, when I tried to print out the line art… my printer decided that the central figure needed to be more to the right. (Everyone’s a critic.)

I was drawn to the skewed composition and rather than throwing it away, I decided to save it by decorating it with patterns and colors.

Below is a GIF of the coloring process.

That’s all for now.

    1. Hi Audrey, I like the offset position, it works well. I wondered how you created the gif? I do a lot of digital pieces and am also keen to show my process. I find your blog interesting, thanks for sharing your journey. I’m nearing the end of a process of completing 52 Art Challenges which are the subject of my blog.
      Many thanks and keep creating.

      1. Hi Kim, That’s very sweet… Thanks so much. Sounds like you are working on a very cool project yourself! As for the Gif, I created it using a program called Photoscape…. It’s great and it’s free! Let me know if you have any additional questions, I’d be happy to share. -Audrey
