Because the Time For Living is Now

Hello Citizens of the Blogosphere,

I hope you are all doing well! If you follow my blog, you may have noticed that I haven’t posted anything in over a month. (My bad… sorry.) Well, I have a good reason for the mini hiatus…

I’ve moved from the bustling city of Los Angeles to the calm and peaceful (sometimes? yesterday we found a rattlesnake under our house) desert!

A Little Bit of Backstory

After college, my fiance (Larry) and I lived and worked full-time in Los Angeles. Our apartment was small and it didn’t have any access to the outside.  Although the rent for our studio apartment was fairly expensive, it was in a central location, which made it easy to get to work via public transportation. On weekdays, we worked from 8am to 5pm, with a one-hour lunch break in between. On productive days, I spent my lunch breaks creating art, updating my blog or hosting an office Art Hour, where my coworkers and I would color or make cards together. After work, I usually spent time crafting or drawing, while Larry spent hours researching things like, how to grow plants or how to build tiny houses. In our spare time, we dreamed of how wonderful it would be to own a piece of land, grow our own food and live a simpler life.

Somewhere down the road, we both came to realize that life is too short and the time for living is now. So, we started saving every penny we could in the hopes of one day making our dreams come true.

At the beginning of this year, we finally saved enough money to do what we’ve been talking about for what seemed like ages. We bought a small house and some land in the desert.

Who knows what will happen next?

As always, thank you for joining me on my creative journey!

💗 Audrey

❤️  I bought a new watercolor set, which I will review very soon. ❤️
